The professional team makes minor repairs and basic accessibility and safety improvements at no cost for qualified homeowners. Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine Weatherization and Critical Home Repair Program
Service to help button up homes to reduce heat loss and heating expenses with weather stripping, door sweeps, blocking foundation leaks, and installing custom built interior window inserts. Critical home repairs could include deferred maintenance or worn out or damaged areas. Other modifications address safety, mobility, accessibility, and independence, all at no cost to qualified homeowners.
Must own home or live in family-owned home. Income up to 80% of area median ($39,520 for individual; $45,120 for family of 2).
Budget: $1,500 for materials; volunteer labor; no cost to homeowner.
